Founded by professor Sidy Ndao, SenEcole is an organization dedicated to promoting science and engineering education in Africa for sustainable development through education and capacity building. We provide a platform for African Engineers & Scientists to share ideas, research, and collaborate. We advise educational institution on implementing sustainable STEM programs based on smart and data-driven strategies. Finally, we help governments develop National Innovation Capacities through regulatory policies, education and training systems, support institutions, research bodies, and strategic funding mechanisms.
SenEcole's social responsibility is to inspire the next generation of African Scientists and Engineers. We believe that one of the very effective ways to reach our objectives is engaging the youth through programs such as robotics and engineering design competitions. Hence, SenEcole has developed a series of STEM educational programs, namely, Summer STEM Camp and Programs and the Pan-African Robotics Competition, catering students from middle school through college. SenEcole programs’ objective is to spark the curiosity and inspire kids while encouraging them to pursue science and engineering fields through robotics design, project presentation, and other STEM related hands-on activities.
